Katherine Allen

Katherine Allen is an associate with Bow River Law LLP. She practices in the areas of employment law,  human rights and labour law.

Prior to joining Bow River Law LLP, Katherine practiced at a family law firm in Toronto, where she gained valuable experience assisting clients navigate complex, high-conflict matters. She has experience in several levels of Court where she has advocated for her clients.

Katherine earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school, Katherine worked as a caseworker for a community legal services provider, where she advocated for low income individuals facing challenging health issues and violence.

After law school and several years in family law practice, Katherine made her way back to Calgary, where she was raised. Katherine prioritizes forming trusting relationships with her clients so that they feel supported and heard throughout the legal process. She is dedicated to delivering creative, yet practical guidance.

Prior to law school, Katherine obtained a Bachelor of Music in classical Vocal Performance. Outside of the office, she continues to enjoy singing, as well as travel, trying new restaurants, meeting with her 3-person book club, and adding to her ever growing reality tv rotation.
